On September 18, 2004 our Chapter held it's first organizational
MSAP committee meeting at our Lodge. The next day, a group of our
members attended a MSAP training seminar at the Columbus County
Lodge in Whiteville, NC.
On October 13, 2004 a group of our members conducted
a practice MSAP session at our Lodge.
On January 8, 2005, Sterling Page, Debbie Knox, and
Lee Anne Redwine conducted an overview of our first MSAP
presentation for all the State CBA/ABATE members attending the State
meeting in Charlotte, NC.
On February 1, 2005, Sterling, Debbie and Lee Anne
conducted our first MSAP presentation at North Brunswick High School
in Leland, NC. In attendance were 25 students.
As of August, 2007 15 of our members have become
instructors and conducted 49 MSAP sessions at Brunswick County High
Schools and Brunswick Community College, reaching a total of 1337
students.
